This category is rather broad, encompassing old, coach-built, luxury limousines as well as exotic performance supercars up through the 1980s. However, the category does have one unifying factor: All of these exotics and luxury cars were built in relatively small numbers and marketed to affluent buyers. Online auctions can be a place to find autos from Packard, Rolls-Royce (including the Silver Ghost and Phantom), Stutz, Peerless, Franklin, Mercedes-Benz, Aston Martin (DB5), Jaguar (Mark VII, S-Type, XJ Series), Bentley, Duesenberg, Austin Healey, Cadillac, Lincoln, Alfa Romeo, BMW, Mercedes, Lotus, Porsche (911 and 356), Ferrari (Testarossa and F40), Lamborghini (Countach), and Bugatti. Even some modern luxury names such as Acura, Lexus, and Infiniti make the cut with our arbitrary pre-1990 parameter.
